Editorial policy
Rural Sports Journal aims to publish clear, accurate and independent explanations of rural sport and its surroundings. We distinguish established information from interpretation, use language that readers can check and understand, and correct material when we learn it is wrong.
Accuracy and context
We check names, terminology and factual claims against appropriate sources before publication. Where a subject has more than one interpretation, we explain the distinction rather than making a disputed point sound settled. Articles are written for general understanding, not as a substitute for checking rules or seeking qualified advice where that is needed.
Independence and labelling
Editorial decisions are made separately from commercial arrangements. Any sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. A partnership does not buy a favourable editorial conclusion, and we do not present a promotional claim as independent reporting.
Corrections and illustrations
If you spot a factual error, contact us with the article and the detail in question. We review correction requests and update material when warranted, making significant changes clear where appropriate. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where used, they are identified as illustrations and are not offered as documentary evidence.
